The Ulysses Forums

This is a programme open to an ample participation of the worldwide community of practitioners, government, and academia to advance knowledge creation and dissemination, as well as its transfer to the tourism industry. Ulysses Forums are concerned with subjects such as Tourism for Development; Scientific and Technological Innovations in Tourism, and Tourism Policy and Governance. The analysis of economic, social, cultural, and environmental impacts and the effects of tourism are of special concern, and so are micro and macro tourism policy specific issues.

The Global Ulysses Forums are usually held annually and may take place back-to-back with the UNWTO Ulysses Prize and Awards. Prior to the annual event, study and debate communities are organized with hundreds of participants from all over the world; Delphi-rounds take place among all participants to prepare for agreements and declarations at the Forum itself. Results of the Ulysses Forum are widely disseminated in academic, expert and professional publications and through the media.
